This Privacy Policy explains how ChinaAI collects, uses and handles information when you visit chinaai.chat or contact us. It also explains the services we use, your privacy choices and how to make a request about your personal information.
1. Who is responsible for this website?
ChinaAI is operated by Thinkly For Digital Business, based in Egypt. In this policy, “ChinaAI,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to that operator. We are responsible for the personal information we process in connection with this website.
For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
ChinaAI is an independent publication about artificial intelligence. We are not affiliated with DeepSeek, Alibaba’s Qwen or Moonshot AI’s Kimi. You can learn more on our About page.
2. Information we collect and why
Information you provide when contacting us
When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message and supporting information. We use it to respond to enquiries, investigate reported issues, consider corrections and handle privacy requests.
Providing this information is voluntary, but we may be unable to answer a request without sufficient details or a way to contact you. Please do not send passwords, API keys, payment details or sensitive documents that are unnecessary for your enquiry.
Website visits and technical information
Our hosting, security and analytics services process technical information associated with visits. Depending on the service, this can include an IP address, browser and device information, operating system, referring page, pages visited, visit times, approximate location and error or security records.
We use this information to deliver pages, protect the website against abuse, troubleshoot problems and understand how visitors use our content. Search terms entered into the website’s search feature can appear in requested URLs and related logs or analytics records. Avoid entering confidential information into site searches.
The website does not currently provide public visitor accounts, comments, newsletter subscriptions, purchases or live AI conversations.
3. Hosting, analytics and other service providers
Website and email hosting
Our website and email hosting use infrastructure provided by Leaseweb USA. Hosting services process website requests, technical records and email information as needed to deliver those services. See Leaseweb’s privacy and personal data protection information.
Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare for website delivery, performance and protection. These services may process IP addresses, request details, routing information and security events. Certain protection features may also use cookies when they operate. Read Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and its cookie documentation.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure visits and page performance. Cloudflare states that this analytics service does not use cookies or local storage to collect usage metrics. This description applies to Web Analytics, rather than every Cloudflare security or delivery feature. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the website. It can process page views, interactions, referring pages, browser and device information, approximate location and online identifiers. Google Analytics uses cookies and related technologies, depending on its configuration and applicable settings.
Learn more about how Google uses information from websites and apps that use its services and read Google’s Privacy Policy. Google Analytics is used for website measurement; its presence does not mean that Google AdSense advertising is active on this website.
Jetpack Stats
We use Jetpack Stats, provided by Automattic, to understand visits, page views, referral sources and outbound link activity. Jetpack’s documentation lists information such as IP addresses, visited and referring URLs, browser information, event times, language and country. It may also process a WordPress.com user ID and username when a visitor is logged in to WordPress.com.
For details, see Jetpack Stats privacy information, Automattic’s Privacy Notice for visitors to its users’ sites and Jetpack’s cookie documentation.
4. Cookies and your current choices
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Related technologies, including scripts and web beacons, can also collect information about visits and interactions. Their use depends on the service and feature involved.
WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in. Security services may use cookies for protection features, and analytics services may use cookies or identifiers for measurement. Not all visitors receive the same cookies.
The website does not currently provide an on-site cookie-preference panel. The following controls are available:
- Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies can affect website functionality. Deleting cookies does not automatically delete information already held by a service provider.
- Google Analytics controls: on supported browsers, you can use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent supported Analytics scripts from sharing website activity. This does not disable Jetpack Stats, Cloudflare services or necessary server and security logging.
Where applicable law requires consent for optional cookies or similar processing, that consent must be obtained separately. Visiting the website or reading this policy is not consent, and browser controls do not replace any required prior consent.
5. Advertising and Google AdSense
Current status: Google AdSense and other advertising networks are not enabled on ChinaAI. We are preparing to apply for AdSense. The information below explains the practices that may apply if advertising is introduced.
If we enable Google AdSense, Google and other participating advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver and measure advertisements, limit repeated ads and detect invalid traffic or fraud.
Where permitted and subject to required consent and your choices, Google’s advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to select ads using information about your previous visits to ChinaAI and other websites. Other participating advertising networks may use their own cookies for these purposes.
You can manage or opt out of Google’s personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Some participating third-party advertising choices are also available through YourAdChoices. These controls have different scopes and do not necessarily stop all advertising, cookies or advertising-related processing. Non-personalized ads can still use cookies for functions such as limiting repeated ads and reporting.
Before introducing advertising, we will update this policy to reflect the partners and processing actually used and provide any required consent and withdrawal controls. For personalized Google ads shown to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework.
Google explains its processing in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Advertising choices will be separate from the current analytics controls described above.
6. Who may receive information
The people managing this website and our correspondence may handle information needed to respond to you and operate the site. The service providers identified above process information relevant to their hosting, email, security, delivery or analytics services.
We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or a valid legal request, or where necessary and permitted to investigate abuse, protect rights or address a security incident.
Providers’ roles and uses of information depend on the service and applicable terms. Their linked notices explain their own processing; they do not replace our responsibility for the processing we control.
7. Legal grounds and international processing
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, delivering requested pages, maintaining security and troubleshooting, where those interests are not overridden by your rights. Processing may also be necessary to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Activities that require consent must rely on a separate, valid consent choice.
We operate from Egypt. Information may also be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. The locations and arrangements depend on the service. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those where you live. Contact us if you need information about the arrangements relevant to your personal information.
8. How long information is kept
Retention depends on the type of information, why it is needed and the services involved. We do not apply a single retention period to all website, email and analytics information.
- Contact messages: retention is based on the time needed to answer an enquiry, complete related follow-up and keep records necessary for legal obligations or legal claims.
- Technical and security records: retention depends on operational needs, investigating errors or abuse, and the relevant hosting or security service’s settings and requirements.
- Analytics information: retention depends on each service and the settings applied to it. Google Analytics distinguishes user and event records from aggregated reports; its retention documentation explains those differences.
Service providers may have separate retention obligations for information they process for their own purposes. A period applying to one service does not automatically apply to another. You can contact us to request deletion of information under our control, subject to applicable legal requirements.
9. External AI services and example prompts
Our official chat directory links to services operated by DeepSeek, Qwen and Kimi. When you visit or use those services, their operators handle information under their own terms and privacy policies, including any account details, prompts, files or conversations you provide. ChinaAI does not manage those accounts or conversations.
The example prompts published in our directory are suggestions you can adapt. You decide whether to copy them and enter them into an external service. The directory does not submit prompts to AI providers or generate AI responses.
Visits to the directory remain subject to the website analytics and technical processing described in this Privacy Policy. Our retention practices do not determine how long external AI providers keep information you give them.
10. Your privacy rights and requests
Depending on where you live and the law that applies to our processing, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal information.
- Object to certain processing or request that it be restricted.
- Receive a portable copy of eligible information.
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Exercise applicable opt-out rights concerning targeted advertising or certain disclosures of personal information.
- Complain to a competent data protection authority.
To make a request, email [email protected] and describe the information or activity concerned. If your request relates to a message you sent, include the email address used and the approximate date so we can locate it.
We may ask for proportionate verification to protect your information. Do not send identity documents with your initial request. We will respond within the time limits required by applicable law and explain any relevant exception or limitation. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations or claims.
11. Information security
We use HTTPS and the protection features of our hosting and website-delivery services to help protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please limit the personal information you include in enquiries and remove unnecessary details from screenshots or supporting documents.
12. Children’s privacy
ChinaAI provides information for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information that we should not hold, contact [email protected]. We will review the circumstances and take appropriate action, including deletion where required by applicable law.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices or services change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Where applicable law requires additional notice or a new consent choice, we will provide it. For questions about this policy, email [email protected].
